The draws of the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup tournament were successfully held on Friday 21st June.
This year’s edition is slated for 6th-21st July in Rwanda and 16 teams were confirmed to take part in the tourney pitted in four groups.
Newly promoted Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup, and FUFA Big League champion Proline Football Club has been placed in group C that has APR from Rwanda, Green Buffaloes and Heegan from Zambia and Somalia respectively.
Uganda Premier League reigning champions KCCA was pitted in group B against Azam FC, Makura, and Bandari FC from Tanzania, Rwanda, and Kenya respectively.
Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia, DC Motema Pembe of DR.Congo, KMKM Zanzibar and AS Ports all have been put in group D.
While Rwanda’s Rayon Sport, Congolese TP Mazembe, Tanzania’s KMC, and Atlabara of South Sudan are in group A.
