Goalie Dhaira Completes Move To Katwe United

Goalkeeper Eric Dhaira has completed his move to FUFA Big League new entrants Katwe United Football Club.

Dhaira, a brother to former and late Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abbey Dhaira has signed a one-year contract deal that will end at the end of the 2019-2020 season.

Dhaira has been featuring at Uganda Premier League side Maroons Football Club where he spent two seasons before his contract expired last season.

Locally, Dhaira played for Wama FC, Soana FC (now Tooro United), and BUL FC respectively. He also played for IBV Vestmannaeyjar in Iceland before returning to Uganda Premier League.

He joins a long list of Katwe United’s recruits Sulaiman Jjingo, Billy Nkata, Richard Gaza Kigozi, Emmanuel Asiku, Denis Okoth, Brian Walukagga, and Vincent Kimezze.

Katwe United joined the FUFA Big League last season after defeating Kajjansi United in the qualification final which was played at the StarTimes Stadium.
