Sekajugo strike hands Wakiso Giants second league win

Striker Viane Sekajugo Was The difference in Wakiso Giants’ slim 1-0 win over Tooro United in the Uganda Premier League on Friday.

The typical goal poacher scored after 64 minutes handing the Purple Sharks a second win in their debut appearance in the top flight league on matchday three.

It was midfielder Tom Masiko who laid a long ball past goalkeeper Crispus Kusiime that met the former Onduparaka star for him to head in and send the crowd at Kyabazinga Stadium in wild celebrations.

The win for Kefa Kisaala’s coached side took them on six points after three games while Tooro United remained on three.

Tooro will host Maroons on Tuesday, September 10 while Wakiso Giants visit Bright Stars at the Muteesa II Stadium on Wednesday.

Elder, Kyetume FC held URA FC to a goalless draw at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole as both sides shared spoils.

Former KCCA midfielder Isaac Kirabira was the pilsner man of the match after his brilliant display.
