Airtel Uganda Fulfils Pledge, Hands over brand new 4G smartphones to 1978 Uganda Cranes Squad

In an effort to fulfil a pledge made by the Airtel Uganda Managing Director V.G Somasekhar during the 2019 Airtel FUFA Awards, Airtel Uganda Public Relations Manager Ms. Sumin Namaganda handed over brand new Airtel 4G smartphones to players of the 1978 Uganda Cranes squad that reached the final of the 1978 AFCON tourney.

The brief function was held at FUFA Headquarters in Mengo, Kampala in the presence of four of the Uganda Cranes legends.

The legends who were available are Goalkeeper Paul Ssali, Ashe Mukasa, Barnabus Mwesigwa and Abbey Nassur, as well as FUFA officials led by Justus Mugisha and Edgar Watson.

The famous 1978 Uganda Cranes Squad:
