Newly promoted football club to the FUFA Big League and Kampala Region football Champions Katwe United on Monday started pre-season training in high gear.
The team is currently undergoing circuit training at SEB Hotel along Entebbe road near Kampala with an intent of developing muscle power and endurance for relatively short and intermittent periods of activity.
Players are engaged in Squat Jumps, Dumbbell Push Press, Knee-Lifts with a Medicine Ball, Crunch with Lateral Pull-Down and Wall Slides.
The ‘Tulibanyiivu’ side also owned by Makindye West MP, Allan Ssewanyana will soon have a number of pre-season matches for proper preparation for the new league where their target is to triumph as Champions.
Katwe defeated Kajjansi United FC 4-3 on aggregate in June in the promotional play-off to qualify for the second topmost league in the country.
