BUL FC 3-0 KCCA FC
BUL FC registered an emphatic 3-0 win over KCCA on matchday eight of the Uganda Premier League at the Fufa Technical Center in Njeru.
Richard Wandyaka, Robert Mukongotya, and KCCA Oldboy Musa Esenu were all on target as the Jinja outfits condemned the Kasassiro Boys to go top on Tuesday evening.
Wandyaka put the hosts BUL in the lead when he pounced on a loose ball from a corner kick in the 34th minute to send the home crowd in wild celebrations.
Ten minutes after the restart, Mukongotya made it 2-0 after thrashing Charles Lukwago with a thunderbolt strike from outside 25 yards box.
Manager Mike Mutebi brought on Jackson Nunda, Erisa Sekisambu and Nigerian import John Odumwegu in a bid to chase the game but rather conceded more.
Esenu came off the bench, substituting Deogracious Ojok before putting an icing on the cake towards the final minutes of the game.
James Otim released Esenu and the former Kasassiro divinely poked home BUL’s third goal at the near post in the 80th minute.
The host now tops the league with 16 points on the log from seven outings while the visitors’ woes continue.
The Kasassiro boys (KCCA FC) are now winless in their most recent five matches both in the league and on the continental level sitting one place above the relegation zone with seven points collected from five games.
At Namboole Stadium, Express overcame Kyetume 1-0 to record their third win of the season thanks to Frank Senyondo’s lone goal.
Bright Stars and Tooro United settled for a goalless draw at Wankulukuku while Busoga United enclosed Proline 1-0 courtesy of Ismail Kawawulo’s header.
In Arua, URA bounced back to winning ways with a 1-2 away win against Onduparaka at the Greenlight Stadium.
