Confirmed: Nkata appointed as Mbarara City head coach

Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City has appointed Paul Nkata as their new head coach.

Nkata gets into the club’s system as a replacement to Charles Livingstone Mbabazi who left the club at the climax of the previous campaign.

Nkata will be assisted by Brain Senyondo who has been coaching the team on an interim basis.

This is the second time for the gaffer to return in Ugandan football since his last appearance in the 2017-2018 season at URA Football Club.

Nkata has previously coached at Tusker FC, Kakamega Homeboyz both in the Kenyan Premier League alongside SC Villa and Kira Young.

His first task upon his arrival at the club is to revive the team’s performance that has won one game in the five Uganda Premier League matches of this season.

The Ankole Lions currently have five points from the previous five matches settled in the 10th position.

Their next engagement will be against Busoga United at Luzira prisons playground on the 1st of October 2019.
