Prior to the upcoming StarTimes Uganda Premier league season, reigning champions Vipers Sports club completed the signing of another former Sports Club Villa player Davis Kasirye.
The former Jogoo Davis Kasirye has agreed to put on paper a two year contract that will last until 2020
Davis Kasirye joined Sports Club Villa from Zesco United in Zambian top flight league in the mid of last season.
After the closure of the previous season, he searched for greener pastures and has been training with Vipers Sports Club for two weeks in their camp in Mbale from where he signed a deal with the Venoms having impressed the new head coach Javier Martinez.
Davis Kasirye started his football career at UTODA FC from where he joined Police football club in 2011. He later joined Uganda Revenue Authority football club and left Uganda for Zambian giants Zesco United.
He is another signing for the Kitende based outfits after Bashir Sekajja, Fred Okot, Mulondo Livingstone, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Jjuuko Murshid, Tito Okello, Rahmat Senfuka, Abraham Ndugwa , Dickens Okwir, Henry Katongole among others.
This comes after the Venoms agreed to retain defender Halid Lwalira who was on the verge quitting the club and was linked to join SC Villa and Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana but put on dotted lines a three year renewable deal
