Defender Awany could be leaving KCCA Football Club

KCCA Football Club 2018-2019 season captain Timothy Dennis Awany could be on the verge of departing the Uganda Premier League reigning champions.

This was after Awany was nowhere to be seen on KCCA next season list of captains who were presented to the media during the KCCA FC awards ceremony held on Tuesday evening at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

While at the awards ceremony, KCCA FC head coach Mike Hilary Mutebi named the club’s next season three captains and Awany’s name was nowhere to be seen.

Goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who was his vice in the just concluded season will be KCCA’s captain for the coming season.

He will be assisted by Julius Poloto and Mustafa Kizza as the first and second vice captains respectively.

This could be an indicator that shows that the hard solid defender Awany could be departing the club for greener pastures.

Nevertheless, the gigantic Uganda Premier League winning skipper went on to be named the MTN Uganda fans player of the year and Phillip Omondi Most Valuable Player of the year awards respectively.
