Shafik Kiwanuka ‘Killing Machine’ (Ug) vs Tyson Mbikayi (DRC)
Great Strikers International has rescheduled the long-awaited fight between Ugandan professional boxer Shafik Kiwanuka ‘Killing Machine’ and Congolese Tyson Mbikayi based in South Africa.
For starters, the fight between the two fighters was meant to take place on the 7th of June but was called off after Congolese Mbikayi got injured in the training and asked for reschedule.
With effect, both parties agreed to postpone the ramble for a month ahead so as to enable Kiwanuka’s opponent Mbikayi to recover from his injury.
During the press briefing held on Tuesday morning at Lugogo, Great Strikers International Chairman Sam Buchanan noted that his fighter is in good condition and ready to ramble.
“I wanted this fight because Mbikayi is an experienced fighter and will give a good challenge to our fighter Shafik Kiwanuka. Much as the fight was rescheduled, I think both parties will use this one month to make more training, gain more techniques as we are looking forward for the best fight ever.”
As he was speaking to the media, Uganda’s Killing Machine Kiwanuka also noted on his preparedness for the fight.
“I’m more than ready for the fight because killing machine is ever ready and I want to confirm to my fans that the Killing machine is ready to ramble.”
Before the main fight, there will be several undercards where another Ugandan Meddie Bukenya will lock horns with George Dimoso from Tanzania in the East African Title fight in the Junior Middle category.
Other Undercards include,
