Maroons pursue recovery as they visit Mbarara City

After suffering two consecutive defeats, 10th placed Maroons aim at getting back to winning ways as they visit Mbarara City in the Luzira derby at Luzira prisons grounds.

Both teams target a comeback having lost their recent fixtures Maroons FC lost 1-0 to Onduparaka as the Ankole Lions were defeated by Wakiso Giants 2-1.

Out of the 5 previous meetings, the Ankole Lions have won thrice, Maroons once and the others ending in a draw.

The host will look at the players like Hannington Ssebwalunyo, Rashid Agau, and Bronson Nsubuga to motivate them to their fourth win of the season.

Paul Mucurezi, Hilary Mukundane, Brian Aheebwa, and Ibrahim Orit are the players to watch for Paul Nkata’s coached side.

Douglas Bamweyana’s side is improved by the comeback of right-back Eddie Kapampa who missed several fixtures due to malaria but will miss the facilities of Edgar Bwogi who suffered a knock in the last game and Davis Mayanja for gathering many yellow cards.
