Midfielder Waiswa joins SuperSport United

Uganda Cranes intelligent midfielder Moses Waiswa has completed a move to ABSA Premier Soccer League side SuperSport United in South Africa.

Waiswa has joined the three-time PSL champions from three-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club on a two-year contract.

The stylish playmaker was instrumental as Vipers SC triumphed to the 2017-2018 Uganda Premier League championship and finished as runners up in the Uganda Cup.

It is said that the Venoms received on account Fifty Thousand US Dollars (US$ 50,000) as a transfer fee for the reigning UPL Most Valuable Player (UGX 185M).

He joined the Venoms in January 2017 from Swedish side Vaxjo United.

In 2018, Waiswa made his National Cranes debut against Tanzania last year in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Namboole and was named man of the match.

He joins fellow countrymen Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns) and Allan Kateregga ‘Dancing Rasta’ (Cape Town City) who play in the ABSA Premier League.
