Goalkeeper Muhumuza Micheal says he is set and ready to fight for the starting place at his new club UPDF FC.
Micheal completed his season-long loan move from Proline Fc in the 2019 summer transfer window.
The former Kitara Fc and Booma Fc custodian found life difficult at Proline FC with less playing time.
First, he was a second choice behind Saidi Keni and found it difficult to penetrate to the first team.
When Saidi Keni made his move to SC Villa Micheal was given chance to prove which he did not do which forced his bosses to sign two goalkeepers who include Hassan Matovu on loan from KCCA FC and Sharif Magoola from Kiboga Young Fc hence Micheal dropping to third in the pecking order.
Making it worse Proline Fc acquired goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya on loan from Vipers SC in the 2019 window which forced Proline Fc to send him on the season-long loan at FUFA big league side UPDF FC.
Micheal will battle Joseph Yiga for the starting place at UPDF FC as far as the goalkeeping department is concerned.
