Onduparaka Football Club has began beefing up their squad ahead of the 2018-19 season.
The West Nile side have secured the services of striker Amis Muwonge from Doves Football Club from Masindi District.
Muwonge has joined the Caterpillars on a three-year deal after impressing during the charity game ahagainst KCCA FC in which he scored during 3-1 win.
Doves FC confirmed the deal through PRO Godfrey Nsingwire. “We wish Amis Muwonge all the best at his new club Onduparaka FC where he has signed a three-year contract,” said Nsingwire.
The striker was influential in helping Doves FC gain promotion to the FUFA Big League scoring an impressive 21 goals in the process.
Muwonge becomes the first major signing for Onduparaka who had major concerns with their striking department as Karim Ndugwa, Yafessi Mubiru and Alfred Leku were all below par.
The club finished last season 4th in the league and will be looking to better in the 2018-19 season.
