Synergy FC 0-1 KCCA FC
Synergy FC head coach Brian Sennyondo lauds his side to have played well against Uganda premier league giants KCCA but blasts his defender for poor marking in their 0-1 home loss to KCCA on Monday evening.
When Brian Sennyondo was addressing the media, he blamed his player for failing to ‘show up’ physicality when marking goal scorer Patrick Kaddu.
” We played good football only that we conceded a stupid goal. My defender did not show up physicality which was needed 20-yards from goal. And if you are facing experienced players like Patrick Kaddu, any stupid mistake he will punish you but generally the the game was good”. He asserted.
” We played very well and created very well and created more scoring chances than KCCA though our main mistake was our defender failed to clear away the ball. His physicality failed to match with Kaddu, a good striker who can strike from 20-yards. Any mistake you do he can not fail to punish you so we lost the game ” . He added.
Nevertheless, KCCA FC gaffer Mike Hilary Mutebi credits Synergy for the good style of play and confidentiality shown against his club.
- He said,
” Synergy has played well, they play with confidence and good football. My player’s seemed to have underrated them because they are in the major team but on the pitch the minor players can play poorly “.
” But the good thing is that we have won and possess an upper hand, maybe we shall do the needful to play the final “. Mike Mutebi added.
KCCA FC will host Synergy FC in the second leg of the Uganda Cup semi final at the Star Times stadium on Thursday 31st and a win will guarantee them to feature in this edition’s final.
