Our Players Abroad: Striker Kasumba Nominated For Kenya Best Footballer’s Award

Ugandan typical talisman Umar Kasumba has been put on the long list for 2018-2019 most valuable players in the Kenyan Premier League.

Kasumba who had an outstanding performance in the previous season at Sofapaka was nominated along Francis Kahata and Joash Onyango who play for KPL champions Gor Mahia.

Kasumba played for Uganda Premier League teams Police and Sports Club Villa before he left for Zambia at Zesco United.

The other strikers nominated in with Kasumba are Enosh Ochieng (Ulinzi Stars), Allan Wanga (Kakamega Homeboyz) and Boniface Muchiri (Tusker FC).

Last season, Kasumba won the Sportpesa player of the month on four occasions before the season climaxed.
