Synergy Football Club head coach Brian Sennyondo stays optimistic of qualifying for the Uganda Cup final ahead of their return leg with KCCA at the Star Times stadium on Thursday evening.
When addressing the media at the Fufa house in Mengo on Wednesday, the coach points out early preparedness for the second leg as a major factor that will guide the team to desired results.
” We are to get into the second leg of the Uganda Cup semi final with KCCA after our loss (1-0) at home in the first leg, we need to first of all score that one goal which we conceded and then have to score more than two goals to make the game easy for us” .
” After the first leg, we traveled immediately to Kampala to prepare for the return leg. So all in all we are focused and prepared for the return leg ” Senbyondo added.
Despite failing to utilize their chances in the first leg, Synergy FC tactician Sennyondo claims his side will rectify on being clinical after a longtime emphasis on scoring.
” I think we had more chances in the last game and tried to work on tactics of our strikers to emphasise then to be clinical enough and we could score one or two from our chances we will get tomorrow.
Abeit playing a more experienced tea than his side, Brian Sennyondo stays confident of getting positive results as his side does not fear the kasassiro boys irrespective of respecting them.
” We play football and football gives us confidence and with the kind of football we play, we can get the results. As KCCA came to Masaka and defeated us, we too come to Lugogo for a win. We respect KCCA but we do not fear it. Said the Coach.
