Tough test for Singo after Busiro defeat in friendly game

Singo 1-2 Busiro

Prior to the forthcoming 2019 Airtel Masaza Cup prestigious tournament, different counties are resuming preparations for the new edition.

On Sunday afternoon, defending champions Singo lost 1-2 at home to Busiro at Singo Ssaza playground in a fairly attended encounter.

Ivan Mayanja fired Busiro in the lead past three minutes off a Senyonjo Micdad assist before Ogweti Gerrard doubled their lead after capitalizing on a blander made by Singo goalkeeper Kafeero Amis.

In the Second half, Buddo SS player Joseph Data pulled back one for Singo with a far distance stunner that went past Farouk Nswe who came on as a substitute for Adadi Mutumba.

This was Singo’s second build-up match in preparations for the upcoming new season. The first friendly game ended 1-1 with Kampala Select at the same stadium.

However, also Busiro was playing the second friendly match after their defeat to Wakiso Giants 2-0 on Saturday at Sentema playground.

In the aftermath of the game, Singo unveiled their squad that will be used in this Masaza Cup season with new recruits and technical bench.
