- Vipers SC 3-0 Express
Vipers Sports Club striker and off-season signing Fahad Bayo Aziz can not stop scoring.
The former Buildcon lanky forward scored twice as Vipers SC convincingly eased past Express 3-0 in the Uganda Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Bayo’s brace stretched his league tally to six goals atop the scorers’ chart after matchday nine of the season, but eight games for the Venoms with a game in hand.
Brian Kalumba scored Vipers’ third goal at the St Mary’s Stadium as the Venoms went in the second position below pacesetters BUL.
With only seven minutes inside the game, Bayo pocked home for the hosts after receiving a Bobos Byaruhanga pass before slotting past goalkeeper Tony Kyamera.
In the 73rd minute of the game restart, again Bayo hit the back of the net after a clinical finish off an interplay with Paul Willa and Byaruhanga.
With two minutes to the climax, substitute Byaruhanga who replaced Dan Mzee Sserunkuma put the game beyond Express’ reach off a fine shot past hapless Kyamera.
The win put Vipers on 17 points in the 2nd place with five wins and two draws while Express remained in the 9th position.
