Bashir lauded the boys for the massive performance in Oman and offered 7000 USD to the team as a sign of appreciation for the good work done.
“I welcome you all back from Oman and I thank you for the good performances exhibited while representing the country. With the little we have, we shall give the team USD 7000 as a token of appreciation and we hope it will increase as pledged by our partners.
Said the UCA chairman Ansasira.
Brian Masaba the Uganda Cricket Cranes captain also said that,
“The tournament has been good, the players were in good mood and brave enough. We bagged ten points out of all the five games and this will motivate us in the second round here in Uganda come June 2020.
Uganda beat Jersey, Kenya, Bermuda, Italy and Hong Kong to top group B at Al Amerat.
Uganda will host the second round slated for July 29 to August 2020 and will rely on the home support to make dreams come true.
