Wakiso Giants and Proline are back in the Uganda Premier League action on Sunday as both face off at Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

The fixture is a repeat of the 2018/19 Fufa Big League final that saw Proline edge the game 1-0 at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

Like their previous home tie against Mbarara City, the game will also be hosted at a neutral ground in Wankulukuku.

Both teams will be aiming at bouncing back to winning ways having lost their previous respective league games.

Wakiso Giants lost 2-0 away to SC Villa at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole while Proline lost 1-0 away to Vipers SC at Kitende.

Wakiso Giants

Kirizestom Ntambi is away for national duty and thus misses the game.

Ayub Kisaliita, Yasin Mugume and Yasin Mugabi are also out due to injuries.

Defender Fahad Kawooya is suspended after being sent off against SC Villa.


The visitors have no major injuries and suspensions hence all players will be available for selection.

Key Stats

This will be the second meeting in all competitions between Wakiso Giants and Proline and the first in the top division.

The Purple Sharks have so far played three games at Wankulukuku yielding two wins and one draw.

Since the start of last season, the Purple Sharks have only lost one home game – the 1-0 defeat against Bul.

Proline are yet to win a game away from home this season – losing to Mbarara City, Vipers

Proline are ten points behind Wakiso Giants sitting at the base of the log while Wakiso Giants are currently 9th on the 16-team table.
