Police FC 2-2 Maroons FC
Solomon Walusimbi’s late priceless strike was enough to inspire Maroons FC to a 2-2 draw against Police FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League Sunday game.
Juma Balinya scored a brace for the Cops in either phase of the game while Rashid Agau and Solomon Walusimbi strikes comforted a draw for the Prison custodians at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo.
Police Football Club went into the lead after 36 minutes when Juma Balinya stroke past Bugembe Asadu and put the Cops in a halftime lead.
In the second half, Maroons Football Club equalised and leveled the game when Rashid Agau stroke from corner past Davis Mutebi making the score 1-1 and searched for the winner.
However, the hosting team Police FC went back in the driving seat off Juma Balinya who capitalised on his early goal to make it 2-1 in favour of the Cops.
With just seven minutes left on the clock, Solomon Walusimbi came to the rescue for the visitors when he canceled out Juma Balinya’s would be winner from shooting past Davis Mutebi to make a 2-1 full time report.
The results keeps Police Football Club in the 9th position with seven points while Maroons Football Club went on two points still on the bottom of the table.
